She pulled me towards the back of the house. Where is she taking me? I barely even know her and she's acting as if we've been best friends. I sighed. I just wanted to go home already. I was just about to tell Anabell that I had to leave when she let go of my hand.
She paused in front of 4 people, all of them sitting on the couches. I noticed one of them had tensed up as I came near, she bit her lip and looked down. Anabell glanced over to the girl with long, curly hair, then back at me. Her eyes glistened as she looked at me.
"Bella," she gestured towards the girl with curly hair and said to me, "Meet Kylie. She is one of the greatest friends I've had." She smiled, quickly side glancing at the girl across from Kylie.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Bella." Kylie's smooth, soft voice echoed. it was like Alice's voice & Rosalie's altogether.
"I-It's a pleasure also." I quickly replied. She smiled at me, flashing her bright, white teeth. I smiled back weakly at her, she's like a perfect person. A god...majestic and beautiful, just like the Cullens...
Anabell quickly turned my attention towards the girl across Kylie. "Bella this is Vivianne. Don't get fooled by her punk-ish look or rocker-chick look. She's just normal like us."
"Hey..." Vivianne said, she looked up at me, then leaned back at the couch.
"H-Hello." I said. She's the opposite of Kylie. Different, probably the same in a way, but...
"Next is Jace." She turned me back to Kylie's direction, sitting next to her was Jace. He had his arm around Kylie, but she looked uncomfortable with him around.
Once I began to speak, he removed his arm from Kylie. "It's nice to meet you, Jace."
"The pleasures all mine..." he said in a velvety, smooth voice. Almost like Edward when he...dazzles people.
"Lastly, is Aaron. He is the cool, lazy person in the group." She turned me to the person directly across from us.
"Hey, what's up?" He said.
"Hello. Nice to meet you," I said uncomfortably, something about him was...was...different from the others.
"There you've met everyone that came with me to the party." Anabell said. "You haven't met the rest yet."
"Are you going to be here for the rest of the party Bella?" Kylie had asked, she smiled when I looked her way.
"Ummm, actually no. Anabell just stopped me from leaving." I replied.
"Well then. why don't you stay? It's a party come on!" Aaron had stood and came towards me, "Hang out with us! It's boring with just people around."
What does he mean by 'with just people around?'
I shook my head, "Thanks, but I really have to go." I began to walk away, when suddenly I froze in place.
"No. You. Don't." Aaron said. He glared at me and began to tense up.
"AARON!" Kylie quickly stood and placed her hand on his shoulder. He relaxed and I fell to the floor.
I looked back behind me, but there was no one. Where did they go?
---------
I stared out blankly at the wall...where did they go? I was trying to piece everything together. All of them were pale and beautiful. They could be vampires, with the exception of the eyes. None of them had red or dark black eyes.
"Bella?" Edward's voice came from the window.
I quickly sat up, "Yes?" I stared into the darkness, looking around at where he was. I felt a slight breeze, which was unusual, Edward had probably moved. I turned my head out the side, there Edward was. He looked troubled, what was wrong? "Is there a problem? You looked troubled." I furrowed my eyebrows in concern, is he okay?
"No nothing's wrong, it's just...you smell like a vampire."
I grabbed some locks of my hair and checked. "How can I smell like a vampire? I took a bath when I came home, and you didn't come until now. There wasn't a vampire in the party...at least I didn't see any...The only people that touched me are..." My eyes widened in horror as I realized who the possibilities were.
"Bella? What's wrong?" Edward's voice became worried.
"I think I know who the vampire might be." I looked towards Edward, "It's th-"
"If you are going to say the new students, I already know. We all know."
"Oh," I looked down, "Since when? I didn't figure it out until now."
"Ever since that incident in the cafeteria. We knew they were vampires. I couldn't read their minds, which proved to me that one of them had that power."
I quickly became alarmed, "So you mean there is a vampire out there just like me?"
"Yes. It's highly likely."
"So is every new student a vampire?"
"We don't know yet. All we know is that The new group of students are vampires, but there has been a big increase in transfers this month, so we aren't 100% sure."
I turned away from Edward, thinking. So it's a possibility that Derrick is a vampire. He had pale skin down, but I really don't know about beauty. He seemed average to me.
"Bella," I turned my head and faced Edward, "What are you thinking?" He asked.
"I was just wondering if Jessica's new crush is a vampire. His name's Derrick. He is also a new student and you said that the new group of students are vampires, so does that include him? If it does, then I'm worried. Jessica might get hurt and she'll end up heartbroken again. I don't want that to happen."
"It's okay. Don't worry about it right now, it's late and you need the sleep."
"Are you going to stay?"
"Yes. I'll still be here when you wake up." Edward leaned in closer and kissed my forehead, "Now go to sleep."
I laid back down and turned to face Edward. I didn't want to go to sleep, this was our only time today to be together and it had to be late at night.
"Bella go to sleep."
I nodded and slowly shut my eyes.
---------
My eyelids fluttered open and I stared at my wrinkled bed sheets, then at my bedroom door. I took a deep breath, remembering what had happened during the party.
I felt upset somehow, more problems now that there are new vampires. I turned the other way and saw Edward sitting down on the chair in the corner. I quickly sat up, 'Good morning," I said.
"Good morning. Did you have a good dream?" he asked.
"You tell me. I was probably talking all night."
He chuckled a bit, "You did say my name quite a bit." He smiled my favorite crooked smile.
I smiled back, but I noticed that he changed his shirt. I never really notice what Edward or any of the Cullens were wearing. I seem to not mind it at all, but he left. "You left last night didn't you." I confronted him.
"Yes. I did, but I came back immediately. I didn't miss anything."
I pouted, "You said you weren't going to leave."
"No I said that I'll be here in the morning when you wake up....and I am." He smiled again.
I continued to pout, but I knew that he said that. "Urgghhh...Well, you're right. You are here and that is what you said." I stood and walked over to him. "Breakfast?"
"For you. Not me." he said as he stood.
Both of us went downstairs. Charlie was gone by now, so we had the whole day to ourselves. I took some eggs from the refrigerator and began cooking.
"So what's our plan for today?" I asked as I began eating.
"I actually have to go back home. Carlisle said that we need to discuss some matters." Edward said.
"I'll go with you. Just give me a minute..." I stood and washed the dishes. As I finished, I saw Edward glancing at the clock. "...Or two?" He chuckled as he nodded, and I quickly headed upstairs.
---------
Edward drove down road, speeding past trees. I still wonder how he doesn't get caught. I kept thinking about stuff when I was reminded, "Edward, do you think that the new vampires are here for the same reason as Victoria? Do you think that they are with her?"
Edward glanced at me, he looked serious. He looked back at the road and spoke, "We don't anything like that yet. All that we know is that they may have powers that exceed any of ours. If I wasn't able to read their minds, then someone there has the same power as you...You are in more danger now than before with Victoria and James."
"Is there anything I can do to help at all?" I asked.
"Don't worry about anything right now love."
I believe Edward, but I knew that there was at least something I can do. Even if there was something I'd be able to do, Edward wouldn't let me. He wouldn't risk it. I wish that I was just like them...that way they can't say no to me. I won't be the fragile little human they know. I looked over to Edward wondering again if there was hope for him changing me. He just smiled my favorite crooked smile and continued to drive.
Not a chance, I thought. I know exactly what he'll say...that he'll miss my scent, I won't age, and that I'll miss a lot of things. But I'm only looking at the bright side, being with Edward forever. Plus I wouldn't need as much protection if I'm a vampire. No more protecting Bella, helping Bella.
"We're here." Edward said.
I looked out the window to see the Cullen's house. Edward parked in the garage and I noticed an unfamiliar car. It was parked on the spot where Emmett's jeep was, which was now on the driveway.
"They must be here." Edward said.
"Who's here?" I asked, 'The new vampires?!"
He chuckled slightly at my question and replied,"No, the Denali. More like Tanya, Irina & Kate. All of them might be are here, which means Eleazar & Bree are here."
"Oh," I looked down, pondering. Tanya was here, the woman that showed interest to Edward. I was worried on how she would act with Edward in her house in Alaska, now she comes here?
"What's wrong?"
"Noting it's just that if the Denali is here, then..." my voice fainted away and Edward picked up on what I was talking about.
"Don't worry about anything right now. You'll be safe. We'll all protect you." He kissed my forehead and smiled, "And don't worry about Tanya. I'm with you, remember?"
I smiled at that thought. Edward is with me, I love him and we'll be together forever.
"Now come on." He got out of his seat and rushed to the passenger door, opening it for me. "Carlisle is waiting."
