I didn't know what the big deal was. Everyone around me was so excited for the party. I just wanted to leave. I am finally going able to see the Cullens, and I'm stuck here at school. Jessica and Angela couldn't stay in their seats! They were all giddy about the party. It was this Saturday, and apparently Jessica can't wait to be at Mike's house. Everyone may be invited, but for her, she thinks it's her one chance to impress Mike. No wonder she's going shopping! I really didn't want to bother with it. Is everyone anticipating this? I looked around to see that almost everyone was excited and happy. None of the new students were here though. The 2 tables were empty, no one would have bothered to notice anyways. I sighed, I thought that the Cullens would be in school today. It didn't seem like anyone would miss me, so I stood. Before I could walk away, Angela and Jessica stopped me, "Bella wait!" Both of them stood and faced me. "Bella, are you still coming with us tomorrow?" "Sure," I wasn't doing anything tomorrow, at least nothing important. "Yeah, I'll be with you guys tomorrow." "Good," Jessica replied, "Angela and I will come to pick you up. Then on Saturday we'll go to the party together." I just nodded to everything she said, it didn't matter anyways, she'll drag me there otherwise. I began to walk and they followed. Jessica kept talking on what she was planning to buy. "...so Bella, what do you think Mik--...er...ummm...nevermind." Angela looked at me at the corner of her eye and I smiled. Jessica didn't see that, she kept talking about the party and what to shop for. All of us went out of the cafeteria we entered our English class and waited for class to start. --------- I rushed towards my truck. I smiled at the thought of seeing the Cullens again, but how was I going to get there? I got the driver's side of the truck and opened the door. "Hello Bella. It's good to see you again." I recognized the voice and turned around. There facing me was a dark eyed vampire. Her pixie face glowed as she smiled at me. "Alice! I was just about to head home. I forgot to tell you on the phone that I didn't know how to get to your house." I looked down, this was a little embarrassing. "This is why I'm here. I'll take you there, so get on the passenger seat and I'll drive." I started to protest, I could drive instead, but Alice was already in the driver's seat waiting for me to get in the car. I sighed as I opened the passenger door and sat down. She turned on the engine, placed the car in reverse, and drove out to the road. --------- "Why can't you just tell me now?" I looked towards Alice, this was my second time asking her, and yet she doesn't reply. She stared towards the road, she looked confused, pained and troubled somehow. What happened? Did she see something? I sighed, it was no use. She wanted me to wait until we got to the house, but why? I tried again. "Alice? What's the problem? Why can't you tell me?" She sighed and shut her eyes for a moment. Then she lifted her head and spoke, "Bella, it isn't something to tell you. It's more like we need you back at the house. I need to show you something. That's why I can't tell you. You have to see it for yourself, I can't even describe it!" Her face looked pained and she sped up. My truck rumbled in protest, for it can't go any faster. I sighed. What happened to them? Alice slowed down a little as we curved to the left and right. The house came into view and Alice parked my truck on the driveway. She walked ahead of me towards the front door and I walked slowly, coming up with the possibilities on what I might see. I hesitated on opening the door, but I entered. Nothing was different, everything looked as beautiful and majestic as before. It seemed like no one was home, but they were probably in the 2nd floor. I walked forward as I looked around. I stopped and stared at the piano in awe. I remember when Edward played the melody Esme liked, and my song. I smiled, it felt good for them to be back. I looked around again in amazement, I've been to their house several times, but it still amazes me with its beauty. "Bella?" I turned my gaze away and looked to where the voice came from. It was Esme. She smiled as she saw me and walked forward to hug me. "Hello Bella. It's nice to see you again..." Her voice fainted to a whisper, "It's a good thing that you're here. We all missed you dearly." She led me towards the white couch in front of the TV and I sat down. "Alice will be back shortly. Just wait here." I nodded and she was gone. What was going on? I thought for a moment, what is going on? Are they all okay? I slight tap on my shoulder caused me to stand in shock. I turned to see that it was Alice. She laughed a little at my reaction, but it didn't reach her eyes. She stood and faced me, "Come on Bella, follow me." She motioned with her hand and walked towards the stairs. I slowly followed. Both of us climbed up the stairs, meeting up with Jasper half way. When we passed the 2nd floor, I knew where we were heading. I smiled inside, I'm finally going to be able to see Edward. She led me to towards his room and opened the door, he wasn't there. His room was exactly like my last visit. I gazed around at the stuff I didn't notice before and the ones I saw last. I walked forward and almost stumbled down on the pile of journals. I picked up one of the journals and flipped through it fast, unable to read anything. "Uh..I wouldn't read those if I were you." A familiar voice spoke a warning behind me, I immediately knew who it was. I turned around and took off to hug him, I felt so relieved just to hear his voice. I felt moisture start to fill up my eyes as I hugged Edward. It felt like he had been gone for a long time to me, and to finally see him...I felt so happy and relieved. "Bella...Angel, are you okay? I'm sorry if I caused you any grief while I was gone." He began to stroke my hair as he kissed the top of my head. "No," I laughed a little, "I'm fine. I'm so happy that you're back." I leaned back to see his face. I missed him so much, just at the sight of his face, my tears began to spill out. He wiped them away gently. "Don't cry love. I'm here now. I promise you that I'll never leave you like that again. I never want to cause you this much pain ever." He leaned in as he kissed me on the forehead and gently to my lips. I didn't overreact this time, I remained still, but my heart wouldn't work with me. I felt it frantically increase beats and Edward pulled away gently as he chuckled. "Sorry," I said and I looked down as I let go of my grip on Edward. 'Don't be," he said, "You're only human. I understand." He smiled my favorite crooked smile and took my hand. He led me out and we exited his room to go back downstairs. I heard the TV flipping through the channels, barely letting me hear the first word in the commercial or show. As soon as we got downstairs, the TV was off and almost everyone had their heads turned. I looked at Edward and he slowly shook his head, I noticed that Alice left to go to the kitchen and Jasper followed. What did she tell him? Esme came up to me and placed her hands on both my shoulders, leading me forward a little bit. "Edward's finally back to his normal self." She smiled as she let me go. I heard Edward chuckle a little bit and Emmett scoff. Edward walked forward and sat me next to him on the white couch. Emmett was on my other side, slumping back and turning the TV on again. Edward looked back and nodded at Carlisle, when he noticed me looking at him, he smiled. I turned my head to face Edward. What's going on? He cleared his throat before speaking, "Bella...I'm sure you want to know about what happened in Alaska. We'll all tell you and explain, but please, don't panic." He looked deep into my eyes. "Panic? Why? Are you guys hurt?" I looked at all of them frantically. Looking straight into their eyes. "No, no. We're fine. It's just that...there is something that you need to see. It's nothing you need to worry about much angel. I'm fine..." Edward pulled up the long sleeves of his shirt up to his elbow. I was confused at what he was trying to show me. He lifted his arm, and there just below the crease of his arm, near the elbow, was a crescent shaped scar...
